LEM is so grateful to have Jill Clemens as our New Employee Highlight! Jill is from a small town in central Missouri. She moved to St. Louis to attend Washington University, where she got a BSBA with a major in accounting. Jill previously worked as a CPA for a regional public accounting firm as an auditor for 7 years before leaving to work and stay at home with her three kids. During this time, she did accounting work for family businesses in the automotive industry. In her spare time, Jill enjoys watching her kids participate in volleyball, basketball, and theater. She also like to spend time with extended family and travel and spend time near the water.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
My favorite things to do outside of work is spend time with my family. Because of this, I spend lots of time watching my kids play sports and school activities. When not restricted to school, we like to spend time at the lake or in FL.
What is your favorite kind of food?
My favorite kind of food is dessert!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I have been fortunate to travel lots of places, but I would still like to see Australia and the parts of Europe I haven’t been to like Ireland, Italy, or Greece.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I don’t really want a superpower. That would probably be a recipe for disaster with me.
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Traveling is really the only thing on my bucket list. Being able to see some more of the world one day would make me happy.
How did you get started in the industry?
After I graduated from college with my accounting degree, I worked in public accounting for 7 years as a CPA. After that, I worked from home for family businesses and raised my kids for the past 17 years. This is my first job back outside of working for personally owned businesses.
What do you love about LEM?
Everyone at LEM has been so welcoming and so helpful. They have all taken the time to answer my questions and help me learn my way around new software and business practices. Laura is generous and caring towards her employees. She takes a personal interest in each of them and can always be seen around the office connecting with them and making sure she knows them on a personal and professional level.
