Brenda, staff member of the month, started with the LEM Business Solutions team in July of 2022. She’s currently in a hybrid role and shifts between general staff support and bookkeeping tasks. Brenda is responsible for assisting her LEM team members with a wide variety of tasks such as: posting receipts, creating invoices, assisting with client billing, categorizing expenses, and reconciling bank accounts.
A little bit about Brenda:
Brenda Maly was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, graduating from Missouri State University with degrees in Psychology and Speech Pathology. Brenda joins LEM after 30 years serving as Executive Director or Director of Operations for non-profit organizations. She is married with three children, three grandchildren, and two giant Golden Retrievers.

Brenda, staff member of the month, has been making a lasting impact on the team since she arrived. She likes to say she’s “just the coffee girl”, but her contribution is so much more. Her unique role allows her to assist the LEM team wherever is needed, whether it’s accounting or administration. Brenda is always willing to lend a helping hand to team members that may feel overwhelmed or behind with their workload. She’s also assisted with creative processes to make certain administrative tasks easier to accomplish.
What she loves about LEM:
What Brenda loves most about working at LEM Business Solutions is the healthy environment. She spent almost 3 decades as an executive in the Child Welfare industry. It was emotionally draining and very subjective. At LEM, she absolutely loves the team, being able to help her coworkers, learning new tasks all the time, the objective nature of the accounting industry, and of course the upbeat office atmosphere.
